OVERVIEW:

Lake Jackson Emergency Medical Service (LJEMS) is a 501c3, "Not for Profit", Emergency Medical Service that is contracted by the City of Lake Jackson to provide 911 Emergency Medical Services to the citizens of Lake Jackson. LJEMS not only provides emergency response coverage for the City of Lake Jackson, but also for its ETJ.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lake Jackson EMS provides 911 ambulance coverage to its citizens as well as emergency/non-emergency inter-facility transports to neighboring hospitals. LJEMS has 4 Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICU) in fleet with 2-3 Mobile Intensive Care Units staffed 24/7/365 which are dispatched by the Lake Jackson Police Department Communications Center, responding to approximately 4,000 + calls per year.

LJEMS operates under the medical direction of Dr. Adam Corley with our EMT’s and Paramedic’s practicing under one of the most advanced set of protocols in the greater Houston area. In addition to providing emergency medical transports, Lake Jackson EMS is dedicated to providing outreach education to the citizens of Lake Jackson. The outreach education program currently offers a wide variety of courses/instruction including car seat safety and installation, CPR/First Aid, 10-Minute CPR, Stop-the-Bleed/Bleeding Control & Tourniquet courses, and many other continuing education opportunities which are held throughout the year. Lake Jackson EMS provides these types of educational opportunities to better prepare citizens in the event of an unexpected emergency.
