Fire Safety

The city’s Volunteer Fire Department (LJVFD) is responsible for staffing two fire stations and providing fire fighting activities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Fire prevention activities include fire inspection, fire code enforcement, fire safety education, and fire investigation. This department is staffed by 41 volunteers and one paid full-time fire marshal.
