Senior Yoga will be an hour long class that focuses on the following styles of yoga:
Monday & Thursday- Gentle Yoga... Gentle Yoga is performed at a slower pace, with less intense positions, and usually includes extended time of meditation, breath work, and relaxation. This class will include more warm up movements and the yoga postures are often held for longer times. Modifications are done to help people of all fitness levels enjoy the benefits of yoga. There is a stronger emphasis on stretching and low-impact movements in the class.
Tuesday & Wednesday - Chair Yoga….Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that's practiced while seated or using a chair for balance. It is a modified practice that allows people with mobility limitation to enjoy the benefits of yoga. It is a slower paced practice than regular yoga classes. The chair is used as support, which can help with balance issues.
