If Centerpoint can’t restore your power because of a damaged weathercap (or weatherhead), Centerpoint has started a collaboration with Habitat for Humanity to provide a new one. In normal situations homeowners must replace damaged weathercaps with their own money before Centerpoint can restore the power. However, this collaboration allows homeowners with damaged weathercaps to receive replacements for free. Email your name, address and phone number to Kevin Vargas at kvargas@houstonhabitat.org. Centerpoint will receive your information from Habitat so you can get help with a new weatherap.
