[ARCHIVED] Free Chlorine Conversion

The City of Lake Jackson will perform a free chlorine conversion on our water system beginning on June 1st and ending on June 15th, 2020. This conversion is necessary to improve our treatment process throughout the rest of the year. There will be taste and odor changes throughout this two-week process.

We will also begin our flushing process in tandem with the free chlorine conversion. We will flush everything north of Oyster Creek Drive on June 5th and 6th. We will begin flushing around 10 PM and flush through the night until 4 AM. The following weekend, June 12th and 13th, we will flush everything south of Oyster Creek Drive. This will also happen from 10 PM to 4 AM. We are flushing to boost the effectiveness of the free chlorine conversion.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Hector Renteria, Utilities Superintendent, at 979-415-2680.
