[ARCHIVED] Miscellaneous Information Related to Hurricane Harvey/Brazos River Flood

Follow the link below for a list of locations you can go for food & supplies:
Food & Supplies Locations

Debris Collection:
Debris collection is taking much longer than expected after the Hurricane/Flood.
The city activated its contract with Crowder Gulf to pick up storm debris. However, they are simply overwhelmed area wide and could only commit one crew to our city.
We had called in our contractor so that city crews could clean up our drainage system and get it back in shape. This is well under control now, so we are putting our crews out now to collect the storm debris.

Crowder Gulf started on the southside of town and is working its way north and west. They are in the Willow Drive area this week. City crews are working the west side of town and moving north, then east to meet the contractor.
We apologize for how slow this has been, but we hope to pick up speed the rest of this week and into next week.

Mosquito Spraying:
Beginning Friday morning (4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) and (6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.). We will spray south of Oyster Creek Dr. on even numbered days and north of Oyster Creek Dr. on odd numbered days. This will continue until further notice.
