[ARCHIVED] Gardenia Street Reconstruction Project Update

To keep the steady progress of work already started and staying in step or gaining ground in the original schedule, the contractor will make a second move-in to the Gardenia Street segment for utility piping installation.

The work consists of sanitary sewer and water line main installation to replace the existing ones. The old lines will remain active during the process until the changeover is made at the time the pavement removal operations begin sometime later. There should not be disruption of service unless unexpected mishaps occur during this activity. Any accidental disconnects will be given immediate attention by the contractor or city crews.

The work will be taking place as early as Friday, March 28, 2014 and proceed through completion estimated to be between 3 to 4 weeks.

No street closures will be necessary during this process but you will experience some inconvenience in access to your property as your driveway pavement will be removed to the limit of the pipe trench. This pavement will be replaced immediately after pipe installation with placement of crushed base to restore your access back.

You should not expect the pavement reconstruction work to follow any time sooner than originally scheduled, but we will keep you notified when this operation approaches and updates in schedule if any.
