If you have discolored water in your house today, it is safe to drink and meets all state and federal cleanliness standards. You are seeing cloudier water from the Harris Reservoir. The technical term for this is called “turbid” and it refers to an operation that mixes the water to create more cloudy water with more color in it. We’ve increased our treated well water to supplement the reservoir water. This helps to keep the water less cloudy and colored. We understand that seeing cloudier and more colored water without any notice would concern you and we apologize for the inconvenience.
