Like most cities on the southeast Texas coast, we have been seriously monitoring Beryl with the National Weather Service. We can now state how we believe Beryl will impact Lake Jackson. We expect rain to enter our community on Sunday evening. We don’t expect to change our trash schedule unless the winds are high. We are using this storm as a rehearsal for storms that could threaten Lake Jackson directly during this hurricane season. That means:
- Register for our emergency alerts
- Go to our hurricane page on our website to get more information and download the Brazoria County emergency app.
- Follow us on FB for immediate information that affects you.
- Of course, review your own evacuation plans.
Over the weekend, we will continue to monitor for impacts to us. If we suspect something more impactful will happen, we will update you here Saturday evening. Let’s all hope you don’t hear from us.
