FEMA Scam

FEMA “Scams” – FEMA will not initiate the registration process.  Resident’s should register for Federal Disaster Assistance by telephone 1-800-621-3362 or through the website www.fema.gov.  FEMA will ask for only the last 4 digits of your social security number and no other identifying information.  Anyone having a FEMA representative ask for additional information should not give that identifying information out.  Resident’s should call FEMA representative Peggy Smith at 1-832-851-4346.

FEMA added assistance for victim’s who have roof damage to  obtain  temporary assistance involving a “blue tarp” – contact Blue Roof Program at 1-888-766-3258.
