Crime Prevention Programs
Automobile Theft Prevention
During this program, the officer will discuss proper vehicle security measures. Discussion consists of identification of places your vehicle is most likely to be stolen, and measures to take which prevent thieves from targeting your vehicle.
Bank Alarm Response
This is a special video given to employees of banking institutions which discusses how the police respond to silent hold up alarms. We discuss procedures with the local banks that the Lake Jackson Police Department recommends to identify bank robberies in progress. The employees are taught how to react during all phases of a robbery in progress.
Neighborhood Watch
An officer speaks with residents and educates them on crimes that are committed throughout the neighborhoods. Information is given on how to identify suspicious persons, vehicles and common crimes committed in their specific neighborhood.
Security House Checks
This program allows the patrol division to identify homes that are unoccupied while owners are away for the holidays or on vacation. You may have your home checked for up to thirty days by simply filling out a Security Check Request form found under the "Make A Service Request" section on-line, or pick up the form located in the reception area at the Police Department.
