Dress Code & Conduct

All persons appearing in court must wear shoes. The following items of clothing are prohibited:
- Hats, caps, bandanas, or other headgear
- Flip flops
- Lip, nose, or eyebrow rings
- Spiked hair or messages cut into hair
- Swimwear, beachwear, or sleepwear
- Baggy pants that drag the ground
- Cut-offs or shorts
- Short skirts (more than 2 ½ inches above the knee cap)
- Short blouses or sweaters that expose the midsection
- Tank tops
- Tube tops
- Tattoos on torso or back that are not completely covered by clothing at all times
- Messages or pictures on front or back of shirts or pants or other objects that contain obscenities, drug messages, profanity, sexual messages or double entendres.
The following behaviors are prohibited:
- Obscene, profane, loud, lewd, or disorderly language or activities
- Pager or cellular phone use
- Leaning on the Judge’s Bench
- Eating, drinking, use of tobacco products or chewing gum
Violators will be ordered to leave and their cases will be reset to a later date.
