Burn Ban 062309

The Brazoria County Commissioner's Court established a burn ban today (6-23-09) and it is effective immediately. The ban does NOT include legal fireworks. People can still use fireworks that are legal in the State of Texas. An example of illegal fireworks in this state is bottle rockets. The ban is good for 90 days or when commissioner's court rescinds the order, whichever comes first.

ATTENTION LAKE JACKSON RESIDENTS:  The discharge and possession of fireworks is ILLEGAL within the city limits of Lake Jackson.
