Blue Santa
Rick Wright - Lake Jackson Police Department
The Lake Jackson Police Department has been helping needy families for more than ten years through this very special program.
Blue Santa began with a very small group of Police Officers donating and delivering toys and food to needy families in Lake Jackson. For many years members of the Lake Jackson Police Association have continued the Blue Santa tradition by compiling a list of families that need help, shopping for families, and wrapping and delivering toys. As the word spreads about the Blue Santa program, not only do the calls for assistance increase, but so does the outpouring of generosity from the community, local merchants, as well as citizens and merchants from other cities.
At one time Blue Santa was limited to assisting only Lake Jackson residents. Now, many of the families and children we assist are from other cities, which would not be possible without the tremendous amount of support and donations from the community. It is only through help from citizens and merchants that the Lake Jackson Police Department is able to make this program successful. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Cash and toy donations may be dropped off at the Lake Jackson Police Department at any time. Please specify that the donation is for Blue Santa. Again, Blue Santa thanks all of you for your time, and your generosity.
