May 6, 2017 City Election
The City of Lake Jackson's General Election is held in May of each year.  The ballot will include City Council positions.

All candidates running for the office of the City of Lake Jackson must be a resident citizen of the City of Lake Jackson, a qualified voter of the State of Texas, at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and have been a resident of the City of Lake Jackson for at least 12 months prior to the election.   The term of office for City Council positions is 2 years.

The City of Lake Jackson's 2017 General Election will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017. The following positions will be on the ballot for voter consideration.

  • City Council Position 5

Voting Locations & Times
Early Voting will be held from April 24 - 28 from 8 AM to 5 PM, April 29 from 7 AM to 7 PM and May 1-2 from 7 AM to 7 PM at the Lake Jackson Library (250 Circle Way). You may also vote at any of the other Early Voting Locations within Brazoria County. Please note that a valid photo I.D. is now required to vote in person. 

Election Day
All voters casting their ballots on May 6 will do so at the Lake Jackson Civic Center (333 E. Hwy 332) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  You may also vote at any of the other Vote Centers within Brazoria County.  Please not that a valid photo I.D. is required to vote in person.
