The ending of Festival of Lights is just the beginning of Light Up Lake Jackson!

Join us as we begin our new tradtion! Light Up Lake Jackson creates holiday festivities all year long for young and young at heart. Get involved with coloring, drawing, house decorating, scavenger hunts and watch Santa tour through YOUR neighborhood! 

It's time to light up Lake Jackson and celebrate all the good things that LJ brings you and yours!

WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER SHRED DAY | The popular Shred Day that Keep Lake Jackson Beautiful couldn't pull off without partner Texas Gulf Bank will happen Dec. 4 Let us help you spruce up the house as you decorate for the holidays. Bring no more than 5 large boxes of papers in one vehicle to the parking lot between the Rec Center and MacLean Park from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 4. We'll shred your old papers until our truck is full!

City Conversations

One of only 26 schools in the State of Texas and less than 350 nationwide, Beutel Elementary celebrated its prestigious National Blue Ribbon School recognition today. This award, given by the U.S. Department of Education, recognizes schools that have exceptional overall academic performance or has made remarkable progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
