All candidates running for the office of the City of Lake Jackson must be a resident citizen of the City of Lake Jackson, a qualified voter of the State of Texas, at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and have been a resident of the City of Lake Jackson for at least 12 months prior to the election. The term of office for City Council positions is 2 years.
The City of Lake Jackson's 2018 General Election will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The following positions will be on the ballot for voter consideration.

Voting Locations & Times
Early Voting will be held from April 23 - 27 from 8 AM to 5 PM, April 28 from 7 AM to 7 PM and April 30 - May 1 from 7 AM to 7 PM at the Lake Jackson Library (250 Circle Way). You may also vote at any of the other Early Voting Locations within Brazoria County. Please note that a valid photo I.D. is now required to vote in person.
All voters casting their ballots on May 5 will do so at the Lake Jackson Civic Center (333 E. Hwy 332) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You may also vote at any of the other Vote Centers within Brazoria County. Please note that a valid photo I.D. is required to vote in person.
